One of the most accomplished soccer players to come out of Southlake is headed to a new home in the National Women's Soccer League.
Former Lady Dragon standout Kennedy Fuller has been traded from Angel City FC to Bay FC, continuing her rapid professional ascent that began during her decorated high school career. Bay FC acquired the midfielder along with an international roster spot in exchange for $500,000 in transfer funds and $20,000 in allocation money.
During the 2026 campaign, she recorded two goals and two assists while appearing in all 11 matches before the league's June international break. In 2025, she ranked among the NWSL leaders in chances created and earned Week 24 Player of the Week honors.
"Kennedy is an exciting player and a fantastic addition," Bay FC head coach Emma Coates said in the club's announcement. "She is a superb young talent who possesses lots of NWSL experience."
Fuller rose to prominence at Carroll High School, where she helped lead the Lady Dragons to the 2022 UIL Class 6A Division I state championship. She quickly established herself as one of the nation's elite young players, earning Texas Gatorade Girls Soccer Player of the Year honors before being named the 2023 Gatorade National Girls Soccer Player of the Year.
Rather than pursue the traditional college route, Fuller signed a professional contract with Angel City FC as a teenager and immediately became one of the youngest players in the NWSL. Her performances in Los Angeles further elevated her status as one of the brightest young talents in American soccer.
Fuller has also been a regular presence within the U.S. Soccer youth national team system. The Southlake native has represented the United States at multiple age levels and currently competes with the U.S. Under-20 Women's National Team.
