Former Carroll Dragon Carson Green is headed to the NFL. After going undrafted, the Texas A&M offensive lineman signed as a free agent with the Houston Texans.
“I am fired up about getting to be a Texan. Again, I am just thankful that I get to be somewhere close to home where my family can continue watching me play,” Carson says. “I cannot wait to help the organization with anything that is asked of me.”
Carson says watching the draft on TV was a long day.
“I knew there were a handful of teams that were interested in me and I had communicated with during the past few months,” he says. “I am extremely happy that the Texans selected me and that I can stay in Texas to keep playing football.”
Now signed with the Texans, Carson reports to rookie minicamp next week.
“I just want to thank the Southlake community for all the wishes this past week and over the years,” Carson says.
During his tenure at Texas A&M, Carson started every game since his sophomore year and in his senior year was named a Second Team All-SEC right tackle.
Carson was also named to Southlake Style's All-Decade Team. As a Dragon, Carson served as captain and was named to the All-District First Team.
