Another 20-win season for the Carroll boys basketball team is in the books following a defeat at the hands of Wolfforth Frenship in the second round of the Class 6A playoffs.
The bi-district winners could not overcome a strong start by Frenship, which pulled away in the second half for a 25-point victory.
It was quite the year for the Dragons, who won 22 of 30 games -- including 12 of 16 in District 4-6A -- and won its opening round playoff game by 16 points. The 22 total wins was the most wins by a Carroll boys basketball team since the 2017-18 season. During the season, head coach David Markley won his 200th career game when Carroll won two of three at the Knights of Columbus Tournament in December.
