Few high school volleyball players in Texas have built a resume as dominant as Southlake Carroll’s Kinsley Young.
The incoming senior has proven herself a force at the net and a leader on one of the state’s top teams. A TCU commit, Young was named The Dallas Morning News All-Area Blocker of the Year after a standout 2024 season in which she recorded 368 kills, 124 blocks and a .454 hitting percentage. The Morning News also named Young to its preseason all-area team. She anchored a Carroll squad that finished with 28 wins, reached the 6A Division II regional finals and landed at No. 74 in the final MaxPreps national team rankings.
Her production over the past two seasons speaks for itself: 732 kills and 246 blocks, showcasing her consistency and ability to dominate over time.
Beyond high school play, Young has also made waves on the club volleyball scene. This summer, she was named a First-Team Club All-American by PrepVolleyball, one of the most prestigious honors in the national club circuit. Recruiting site Prep Dig currently ranks her as the No. 5 player in Texas in the Class of 2026.
With one final high school season ahead, Young is expected to lead Carroll in another deep playoff push. And as she prepares to take her talents to the Big 12 with TCU, college fans in Fort Worth already have plenty to be excited about.
