The bar is set high for Carroll volleyball in 2026.
Coming off a Class 6A Division II state championship, the Lady Dragons enter the new season with plenty of momentum and a challenging schedule that features a mix of talented non-district opponents and a loaded District 4-6A slate.
Perhaps the biggest storyline comes within the district, where the Lady Dragons will square off twice against Byron Nelson, the reigning Class 6A Division I state champion and ranked as one of the top volleyball programs in the country. With Carroll claiming the Division II crown and Byron Nelson winning Division I, the district boasts an incredible two reigning state champions. Carroll will also meet Keller twice in district play, adding another layer to a rivalry against one of the area's perennial volleyball powers.
The non-district schedule is no easier.
Carroll will face Colleyville twice, along with Frisco Walnut Grove, Denton Guyer, Prosper and Flower Mound — all programs capable of providing an early test for a team with championship aspirations. In fact, Carroll swept Flower Mound in last year's regional final on the way to the state tournament.
The Lady Dragons kick things off with a scrimmage Aug. 7 against Colleyville.
