Following one of the most dominant seasons in program history, the Southlake Carroll Lady Dragons soccer were well represented on the District 4-6A all-district team, highlighted by three major superlative awards.
Senior standout Peyton Hayes was named the district’s Most Valuable Player, while Audrey Anderson earned Midfielder of the Year honors. Anchoring a historic back line, Ava Sexton was named Defensive Player of the Year.
The honors come on the heels of a remarkable 26-1-1 campaign in which Carroll went undefeated in UIL District 4-6A play, claimed the district title, and advanced to the state semifinals. Along the way, the Lady Dragons set a new program record for defensive excellence, allowing just six goals all season.
Carroll’s depth was evident across the all-district selections. First Team honorees included Caroline Holcombe, Macie Colvin, Lexi Khan, Brady Burtnett, Maura Hayes, Berkley McCombs, and Olivia Holcombe—each playing a key role in the team’s balanced attack and suffocating defense.
Sexton and Burtnett were also named to the Class 6A Division 2 all-tournament team.
On the 4-6A Second Team, Sophie Adcock, Cristina Auns, Presley Wilkerson, Mariana Auns, and Anna Winters were recognized for their contributions throughout the season. Caroline Smith and Maggie Marini earned Honorable Mention honors.
With elite individual accolades paired with historic team success, the 2026 Lady Dragons left no doubt about their place among the state’s top programs.
