A strong start-to-finish season for the Carroll softball team led to numerous players being named to the 4-6A all-district teams -- as well as an all-area team selection.
Senior Scarlett Kuhn, a University of Minnesota commit, was named a utility player on the All-Area Second Team by The Dallas Morning News, one of five players to receive that designation. Kuhn was also named the District 4-6A Offensive Player of the Year and a first-team selection.
For the season, Kuhn batted .486 with 53 hits, eight home runs, 41 runs scored and 47 runs batted in.
Additional Carroll 4-6A first-team selections include senior Jordan Stewart and juniors Olivia McCarrick and Kelli Warden. Senior Emmy May was named 4-6A Co-Defensive Player of the Year.
Second-team selections include senior Sammy Petkus and freshmen Bella Garcia and Olivia Wiske. Sophomore Cate Stoklas and senior Molly Murday were named all-district honorable mentions.
