If you believe in Dragons then you’ll have no problembrbelieving what took place Friday night at AT&T Stadium. Down 17 points in the third quarter,brSouthlake Carroll clawed its way back to defeat Mansfield 38-31 in the 6A DivisionbrII Bi-district round of the playoffs.
After scoring only seven points in the first half, quarterbackbrRyan Agnew and the Dragon offense erupted for 31 points in the second half,brincluding 24 points in the fourth quarter to ensure a Carroll victory.
Although he threw three interceptions, Dragon Pride Player of the Week Ryan Agnew continues to bebrcool under pressure. He again answered the call when the Dragons needed it most.brIn another highly competitive game he threw for a season high four touchdownsbrwhile completing 22 of 35 passes for 335 yards in the win. Making big play after big play, Agnew led anbr8-play, 65-yard, game-winning drive, which was capped off by a 31-yardbrtouchdown pass to Tariq Gordon with just 13 remaining. Carroll Running back Lil’brJordan Humphrey had another spectacular day accounting for 195-yards of totalbroffense. Humphrey finished the eveningbrwith 90 yards and a touchdown on the ground while also leading the team inbrreceiving with 105 yards, including a 76-yard touchdown reception on a RyanbrAgnew scramble that averted a Mansfield safety. brSenior
Parker Fentriss finished second on the team with five receptionsbrfor 98 yards and two touchdowns, while Gordon finished with three catches forbr42 yards and the game winning touchdown.

After giving up 24 points in the first three quarters, thebrDragon defense settled in holding a potent Mansfield offense to seven points inbrthe fourth quarter. Senior Andy Chelfbrled Southlake with 14 tackles, while his counterpart at the safety positionbrKevin Cramer not far behind with 12 tackles.
The Dragons meet Denton Guyer (10-1) in the area round ofbrthe playoffs Saturday night at AT&T stadium. Kickoff begins at 8 p.m.
