A supremely successful season for the Carroll baseball team resulted in numerous postseason player accolades.
Senior pitcher Ethan Baiotto was named the District 4-6A Pitcher of the Year after going 9-3 with a 1.92 earned run average – and 4-0 in the playoffs. Baiotto is committed to the University of Tennessee.
Fellow senior pitcher Jack Fuller was named First Team all-district. For his career at Carroll, Fuller went 5-0 in the playoffs and 17-5 overall.
Senior Davis Perkins was named First Team all-district for his play in the infield in 2025. Perkins was the 4-6A Defensive Player of the Year in 2024 and followed that up with a campaign where he committed only four errors.
Seniors Ashton Ybarra and Tanner Carson were named to the District 4-6A first team, and freshman Camden Dean was named 4-6A Newcomer of the Year. Seniors Jake Shannon and Dalton Asprion and sophomore Cooper Newby were named to the district second team.
Ybarra played centerfield for the Dragons and led the team with a 3.87 batting average, 43 hits, 24 runs batted in and 29 runs. He is committed to Ouachita Baptist for baseball. Carson played third base in his third year on varsity and hit .365. He was second on the team in hits with 42 and is committed to play baseball at McClennan, a top junior college program.
Dean, a rare freshman to make and start on varsity, batted over .350 and struck out the least among the Dragon starters. He is currently ranked as the seventh-best prospect in Texas for the Class of 2028 by Prep Baseball TX.
