Seniors Ethan Baiotto and Ashton Ybarra and freshman Camden Dean were named to the Dallas Morning News all-area baseball team, a prestigious list that names the best baseball players of 2025 in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Baiotto was Carroll's ace pitcher during the regular season and took his performance up a notch in the playoffs. The University of Tennessee-commit went 4-0 in the postseason and held opposing batters to a .171 average. He was named District 4-6A Pitcher of the Year.
Ybarra led Carroll with a .387 batting average and a ridiculous 1.037 on-base plus slugging percentage. He finished 2025 with 43 hits, 24 runs batted in and 29 runs scored. Ybarra was named District 4-6A first-team outfielder.
The lone freshman to make the Morning News list, Dean burst onto the scene in 2025 with 31 hits -- including nine multi-hit games. He was named District 4-6A Newcomer of the Year and looks to be a superstar in the making for Carroll.
Baiotto, Ybarra and Dean joined six other Dragons on the 4-6A all-district list.
