The Dragons entered the 2015-16 season with plenty ofbrexperience. Returning some of the team's top talent from a year ago, thebrDragons have enjoyed the luxury of veteran leadership. With five seniors on thebrroster, the Dragons have a perfect balance of both experience and youth thatbrwill keep the team competitive this season and for years to come. MasonbrGreenberg has done a remarkable job in his senior campaign, placing in the topbrthree in two tournaments this season. He shot +3 in the regional tournament tobrearn a 17th place finish. After playing at an extremely high levelbrduring his junior campaign, Colin Kober has been on a mission during his finalbrseason with the Dragons. The Baylor commit has been outstanding winning thebrClass 6A Region 1 championship, shooting a score of 137 (-3). He also hasbrfinished first in the Jim McLean Invitational, The Aggie Cup and the Boys FallbrPreview Championship. Junior Matt Kettler also produced in the region 1brchampionship, tying for seventh in the tournament.

District Champions, State Qualifiers
It's state championship time in Dragon Country! With bothbrthe boys and girls golf teams qualifying for the state tournament, SouthlakebrCarroll is looking to create a little magic to end the 2015-16 season. Lookingbrto repeat as state champions, the boys team won the Class 6A Region 1brchampionship with a score of 568 (-8), topping both Plano West and Mansfield,brwho were at one point ranked higher in the state rankings. Having played inbrseven tournaments during the season, Matt Glenn's team placed in the top threebrin the majority of the tournaments they played in this season. Before winningbranother district championship this season, they won the Jim McLeanbrinvitational, as three members of the team finished in the top 10 of thebrtournament. In the Byron Nelson Spring Kickoff Classic Team C placed second,brwith one player placing in the top 10. As the Dragons continue to play greatbrgolf at a crucial point in the season, a state championship could be on thebrhorizon.
