Southlake Carroll saw 16 swimmers and divers receive All-American honors.
After NISCA Swimming And Diving All-America released its 2021-2022 listing earlier this month, Southlake Carroll’s swim and dive teams took home a number of recognitions in several categories. For swimming, Hailey Heldenbrand, Riley Francis, Kate Heintz and Marin Clem won in several freestyle, butterfly and backstroke individual events, while Andrew Zettle, Mason Edmund, Maximus Williamson and Max Hatcher won in multiple individual male events. Meanwhile, Merren Grannell and Emily Hatcher won in the 200 medley relay, while Lexi Drap, Bailey Kaiser and Blake Bullard won in the 200 freestyle relay. Kyleigh Kidd, Natalie Stubbs and Ashley Bevan-Thomas took All-American honors on the diving side.
In addition to the individual accolades, the girls team was named second and the boys team was named eighth out of all public schools in the nation. The girls were also named third overall out of both public and private schools in the nation, while the boys were named 16th.
