The Dragon Baseball team held an early graduation Wednesday, May 29, for the departing seniors since they are in the middle of regional playoffs. Tonight, as their other 2019 classmates graduate, Dragon Baseball will take on Flower Mound at Dallas Baptist University in the second game of a three-game series.
Dragon Baseball is no stranger to these special ceremonies, as last year's state-winning seniors had a separate graduation ceremony as well.
The first game against Flower Mound, on May 30, ended with an 8-5 Dragon Baseball win. Senior pitcher and Texas Christian University commit Cutter Sippel surrendered only five runs and nine hits. Luke Slahor, Austin Hale, and Riley Garcia all had multiple hits for the Dragons.
Should there be a third game, it will be at either 11:30 a.m. or noon on Saturday at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco.
