"USA Today" nominated two Southlake Carroll students for their Dallas Girls Soccer Player of the Year — Sarah Hornyak and Alli Mills.
Hornyak, who plays midfield, is set to go to Baylor. "USA Today" notes, “Hornyak showed her scoring ability when she netted two goals for the Lady Dragons against Keller Central.”
Goalkeeper Mills is headed to Wyoming for college. "USA" included the Dragon “had 13 shutouts, and opponents scored more than two goals against Southlake Carroll only twice this season.”
The awards show for the Dallas Girls Soccer Player of the Year will take place on June 18 at 6 p.m. online, with a variety of professional athletes as hosts.
