Dylan Ota and Keagan Sieracki accomplished something that no other Carroll Dragon wrestlers have ever done: two individual state championships in the same year.
Ota, a junior, won his second consecutive state title last week in the 106-pound weight class. He was joined by fellow junior Sieracki, who won state in the 138-pound class.
Luke Burgar placed fifth in the 150-pound class, as did Cora Hayes in the 132-pound class.
Ota, Sieracki and Burgar all won their individual regional championships on Feb. 9 to advance to state.
Carroll finished in fourth place overall in the UIL standings. In all, the Dragons came home with a team trophy, four total wrestlers who placed and two individual state championship trophies.
