Lady Dragon Basketball 2022-2023 District Champs
Carroll Dragon Lady Basketball finished the regular season as District Champions with a 28-3 overall record
Led by senior and recent West Point commit Camryn Tade and the Jordan sisters —Milania, Gianna and Natalia — the Lady Dragon Basketball team has captured the 2022-23 District Championship. With a 28-3 overall record, coach Robin McCoart’s team has been virtually unstoppable, winning 20 straight games thanks to the combination of a high-scoring offense and a stifling defense.
The Lady Dragons have been climbing up the ranks all season long and are currently listed as the No. 6 team in the area by the "Dallas Morning News." That’s in no small part due to Tade’s scoring output of 21 points per game as the team scores over 68 points each night— second only in area scoring to Duncanville’s 73 points per game.
There is no doubt the Lady Dragons can fill it up, but they are far from one-dimensional. With a tough and gritty mentality, they allow just under 38 points per game.
With an average scoring differential of more than 30 points per game, the Lady Dragons are looking to do big things in the postseason. Their first matchup will be Monday, Feb. 13 against the Euless Trinity Trojans (20-9) in the bi-district round of the playoffs. The game is set to tip off at 6:30 p.m. at Birdville High School. Tickets sold at the game are $5 for adults and $3 for students.
