If you've been wondering what will become of the oldbrSteak 'n Shake building, allow us to fill you in: The spot will soon be homebrto Pollo Tropical, a restaurant specializing in Caribbean cuisine. Thebrfast-casual chain, a favorite in Florida, is bringing its citrus-marinated,brflame-grilled chicken, and array of authentic sauces and sides to Southlake.
A Steak N Shake restaurant used to inhabit the space at 2640 E. Southlake Blvd. It will soon be replaced by a Pollo Tropical.
Pollo Tropical entered the Texas market in March 2014brwith the opening of its Addison store. It has since added a handful of additionalbrNorth Texas locations, with Southlake next on the map.

The restaurant's menu features all the distinctive, boldbrflavors of the Caribbean, with savory island spices, mixed herbs and citrusbrblended into rubs and marinades to enhance the flavors of fresh vegetables,brpork, beef and chicken dishes.
Guests can select from a number of options includingbrplatters, sandwiches, salads, wraps, kids meals and family meals. PollobrTropical has built a loyal fan base for its fresh, never frozen, bone-in chickenbrthat is marinated in tropical fruit juices and spices and then flame-grilled tobrperfection and served quartered or halved.
The restaurant's famous Saucing Island brings the flavorbr(and the heat) with 10 signature sauces including Guava BBQ, Pineapple Rum,brCilantro Garlic and Spicy Poyo-Poyo. The sauces allow diners to furtherbrcustomize their meals and tempt their taste buds with craveable, zesty,brtropical flavors.
