Join us for a celebration of Black History Month headlined by great friends, delicious food, beverage specials, live music, poetry and more! This event is open to the public and free to attend.
Enjoy a musical performance by Baba Kuboye and poetry by Terrhonda Hillman and Alicia Azahar! Food and beverages will be available for purchase, featuring half-priced appetizers, wine and margaritas. We are excited to see you at this great event honoring Black History Month.
Baba Koboye is an afrobeat artiste/saxophonist/rapper/producer based in Dallas, Texas. Coming from a rich musical heritage, Baba is the son of jazz legends Fran and Tunde Kuboye and has Afrobeat King Fela Anikulapo-Kuti as a great-uncle. He recently collaborated with his cousin, world-renowned afrobeat artist Femi Kuti on his last album "One Day," which got rave reviews from African media.
Terrhonda Hillman is an actress, poet, playwright, published author, podcast host, public speaker, speech coach, creative writer and entrepreneur. Last year, she wrote, produced and starred in the one-woman stage show "Daughter Of The Other Woman," titled after and based on her book of the same name.
Alicia Azahar is the founder and owner of "Uninterrupted Thoughts," where she believes in "making an impression one thought at a time! Words are powerful, and it's up to us to use them for good!"
