The American rock band known for its unconventional holiday hits and elaborate concerts is bringing its 2024 winter tour, “The Lost Christmas Eve,” to North Texas. You may have seen residential light displays synchronize with the sounds of TSO on the radio, but now is your chance to hear those ground-shaking beats up close as lasers, light shows and other visual effects integrate with the music in one grand performance.
PADDLES FOR A PURPOSE PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT
DECEMBER 29 | CHICKEN AND PICKLE
Come out for a day of pickleball fun as Southlake Kiwanis holds its first-ever Paddles for a Purpose Pickleball tournament. The competition will be held indoors at Chicken and Pickle on Sunday, Dec. 29 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Entrants are guaranteed at least 3 games as well as a tournament t-shirt. All funds are used to support its growing Key Club, the Heart of Service award honoring the SRO of the Year, the Stalcup Heart of a Dragon Cup, not to mention multiple scholarships and more.
THROUGH DECEMBER 29 | GRAPEVINE TOWER GALLERY
Grab your little elves and treat them to an enchanting journey through Grapevine's past at the Elf Adventure. This hands-on event will help them capture the magic of the season with hand-made projects like printing their very own vintage Christmas cards on an 1881 Chandler and Price Printing Press, creating snowman crafts made from cotton, or assembling and decorating Baleros (ball in a cup).
DECEMBER 31 | REUNION TOWER
Ring in the new year with a bang at the ninth annual Lone Star NYE fireworks show at Reunion Tower. Experience an elevated celebration 450 feet in the air with a breathtaking 360-degree view of the city as a stunning display of over 5,000 pyrotechnic special effects launch from the GeO-Deck surrounding the tower. The night sky will come alive over Downtown Dallas with an additional 259 LED light displays and drones cascading across the celestial darkness, making New Year’s Eve a truly spectacular evening.
