For fans of Southlake's Stella Ristorante Italiano, a spin-off cafe selling Italian breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails, wine and beer is coming to Grapevine.
The eatery, Stella's Cafe, was officially approved during a joint meeting of the Grapevine Planning and Zoning Commission in mid-June. It will fill the hole left by Mason & Dixie, which closed in January.
A sign currently on the front window of property reads: "A zoning application has been filed on this property. For information, contact [the] City of Grapevine, 817-410-3155."
“I really believe that when you walk into Stella, you enter [Italy]," owner Paola Pedrignani said in 2022, when Ristorante Italiano opened in Southlake. "I want to welcome you like you are in an Italian piazza."
The menu at Ristorante Italiano still serves all the favorites, such as Spaghetti al Limone di Sorrento con Gamberi -- spaghetti with shrimp and creamy lemon sauce. The Spaghetti Carbonara is another favorite complemented by an egg yolk, Italian bacon and cream sauce.
