After opening in May, RH Dallas, The Gallery on Knox Street quickly became a retail destination that attracted interior design enthusiasts from across the Metroplex. If you haven’t checked out the nearly 70,000-square-foot space yet, which also features a rooftop restaurant and wine bar, now’s the time to head east and get to shopping.
Before heading to RH Dallas, make your way to Smithy, tucked on Henderson Avenue right off the highway. The sleek eatery offers a variety of bright cocktails made with quality ingredients. Guests can’t go wrong with a classic, like the Guiltless Margarita, made with 100% blue agave tequila, agave and lime, or the Katy Trail Mule, made with Oro Blanco vodka, gin, lime, simple syrup and ginger beer with ginger candy. Sweeter flavors can be found in the That’s My Jam, a combination of Lillet rose, vodka, lemon and strawberry preserves and garnished with a cucumber peel, as well as the Roasted N’ Toasted, vanilla-infused vodka, Nightrider nitro brew and vanilla almond cream. Pair your first round with an order of truffle fries or coconut shrimp for a successful and fulfilling start to your night out.
After browsing through RH Dallas, The Gallery on Knox Street’s three stories and walking up the grand double-floating staircase, guests will find the glass-encased restaurant filled with sparkling chandeliers, olive trees and lush greenery. After taking in the surroundings, guests can peruse the dinner menu, which features both light shareables as well as hearty favorites. The prosciutto and delice board acts as a great introduction to the meal, and the crispy artichokes are sure not to last long after they hit the table. Whether guests are in the mood for the signature burger, which features sharp American cheese, pickles, onion and dijonnaise, or a lobster roll, there’s an entree just waiting to be enjoyed. Don’t forget to enjoy a glass of vino with your meal, either at the restaurant or the wine bar.
There’s something about an after-dinner taco that will never get old. Thankfully, Velvet Taco is located right on the highway, making it an ideal destination to hit before heading back to Southlake. With unexpected flavor combinations, like the Chicken and Waffle served on a waffle tortilla, the Shrimp and Grits served on a corn tortilla and Korean Fried Rice served on a flour tortilla, diners should walk in expecting to try something fresh. Don’t sleep on its sensational sides, like the elote corn, queso blanco and barbacoa beef nachos. These savory treats are sure to send you back to Southlake with a smile.
