North Texans are feeling lucky this St. Patrick’s Day. With restaurants reopening and Texans getting out for the occasion, this year’s St. Paddy’s Day already feels a lot more normal than last year’s shut down celebration. Here are five restaurant specials to take advantage of this St. Patrick’s Day.
Scratch Catering has always been known for offering its fine foods on the go, but this St. Patrick’s Day, chef Ted Bilsky is putting an Irish twist on his cuisine. His $12 Shepherd’s Pie tops seasoned ground beef with whipped potatoes while his $14 corned beef is slow roasted with red potatoes. And his $9 Irish Jalapeños are stuffed with beef and whipped potatoes, wrapped in bacon and grilled, providing the spicy kick you need. Be sure to order before 2 p.m. to secure your takeout.
Harvest Hall in Grapevine is known for its variety thanks to the eight different kitchens located in its food hall, but it’s debuting even more featured dishes this St. Patrick’s Day. Besides the traditional green beer, Harvest Hall is offering Irish specials from five kitchens, including the Greek Spanakopita from Zatar, the grilled chicken arepas from Arepa TX, the Guinness chicken wings from Chick & Biscuit and the green linguini from Sputino. Don’t forget to try the Lucky Charms soft serve ice cream at Easy Slider.
When it comes to fresh food and ice-cold drinks, few establishments satisfy on Main Street in Grapevine as much as The Tap-In Grill and Pub, and that’s especially the case on St. Patrick’s Day. Besides its traditional lineup of Irish scotch and whiskeys, the Tap-In is also offering tasty Irish entrees to go along with it. Its sizzling corned beef is a traditional favorite that is perfectly paired with sautéed cabbage, and its mash and Shepherd’s Pie practically melts in your mouth.
Never one to shortchange their sports bar offerings, Boomerjack’s Grill & Bar in Grapevine goes big with its food and drinks alike. Not only is it offering its domestic bottles for $2 and its Jameson and Jager Bombs for $4 but also it is offering a half pound of its boneless wings for just $6 all day. That includes all of its finger-licking flavors such as mango habanero, ghost pepper, buffalo, cajun, honey barbecue and more.
On any other day, the Londoner is the most well-known British pub around. But this St. Patrick’s Day, it is all Irish. Besides its $6 green beer and beverages such as Irish Coffee, Mules and Car Bombs, The Londoner is also offering a variety of Irish delights to enjoy as you celebrate the occasion. Its $8 Irish Naan Bites are topped with Red Dragon cheddar cheese, corned beef and pickled cabbage, and its Guinness stew is made with fresh beef, carrots and potatoes.
