Tacos and Texans go together like chips and queso, and on June 6, taco lovers will have a new reason to celebrate.
The first-ever Irving Taco Festival is rolling into the Plaza at Toyota Music Factory for an evening packed with street tacos, margaritas, music, and enough flavor to make even the pickiest salsa critic loosen up.
Set for 4-11 p.m., this free, family-friendly festival promises a fiesta with all the fixings. Guests can sample street tacos available for purchase while browsing local vendors, challenging friends to yard games and soaking up the lively atmosphere in the heart of Irving. Whether your taco loyalty leans toward carne asada, chicken or the “I’ll take one of everything” strategy, this event aims to satisfy cravings one tortilla at a time.
As if tacos weren’t enough, the festival also marks the kickoff of The Plaza’s free Tribute to Summer concert series. From 9-11 p.m., cover band Local Yoakam will take the stage, serving up live music alongside the evening’s taco-fueled energy.
For guests wanting extra guac with their good time, a limited VIP upgrade is available. VIP perks include a souvenir festival glass, two complimentary drinks, exclusive access to a VIP lounge and bar area and dedicated check-in. Tickets are limited and expected to disappear faster than the last taco at the table.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase, with alcohol sales reserved for guests 21 and older with valid ID.
