Through closing and reopening, the Southlake community has been there for Johnny B’s Burgers & Shakes. Now Johnny B’s wants to be there for the community by supporting its first responders.
The Southlake Boulevard burger joint announced on Wednesday morning that it would offer its cheeseburgers to first responders for free. That includes police officers, firefighters and EMS personnel. Co-owner Naresh Worlikar says he and his team were thinking of ways to support the community during this uncertain time, and they felt providing their tasty burgers at no cost was the best way to do that.
“We were specifically thinking of ways how to give back to these guys for doing what they’re doing,” Naresh expresses. “It’s our way of saying ‘thank you’ to them.”
First responders can take advantage of the offering during business hours 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 2704 E. Southlake Blvd. Naresh says his team is currently brainstorming ways they can offer free cheeseburgers to local hospitals and emergency rooms as well, and they will be rolling out that initiative in the next few weeks.
