Four local restaurants were recently named to Yelp's Top 100 Texas Restaurants of 2022.
At No. 13, Grapevine's Tommy Tamale Market & Cafe makes its annual appearance on the list. Typically made during special occasions and holidays, owners Steve and JoAnn Barker offer their tamale pies and bowls year-round.
In Bedford, Fazenda Gaúcha also makes the list at No. 42. This Brazillian steakhouse offers an intimate dining experience and devotes itself to the churrascaria tradition, which is a Brazillian style of barbecuing its garlic steak, cajun picanha and other cuts of delicious meat.
Grapevine's Cafe Italia follows closely behind at No. 43. Its classic Italian dishes can be enjoyed alongside its beautiful Italinate decor and murals of Venetian canals. To top it off, Nick the magician may stop by your table with a few tricks up his sleeve.
And hitting the closest to home is Southlake's Sushi Dojo, which ranked No. 60 on the list. Serving fusion dishes like sushi tacos, sushi burritos and sushi rolls, Sushi Dojo started as a food truck before opening as a brick-and-mortar store last year. The restaurant was recently named the Asian Restaurant winner in Southlake Style's Readers Choice 2022, and was also named a finalist for takeout.
