Soulman's Barbecue is officially open for business and is kicking off the weekend with two grand-opening events. On Friday, they will host their ribbon-cutting ceremony. And the party will continue into Saturday with family-friendly activities and food specials.
People who come out to try Soulman's can expect quality meats cooked low and slow over hickory. Their menu items include beef brisket, ham, hot links, sausage, turkey, chicken, pulled pork and, their crowd favorite, ribs.
And some local, rib-loving stars will be giving the recipe a try during their Celebrity Rib-Eating Competition. Come out to see a few familiar faces eat their hearts out. Current participants include Southlake Councilmen Shawn McCaskill and John Huffman, Southlake PD officer Christopher Branham and basketball head coach Eric McDade. The winner will walk away with the title and will receive a $1,000 donation for the charity of their choice.
Saturday guests can also enjoy half-priced meals from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., so there are lots of reasons to come out to Soulman's.
