It's not just the food getting the buzz at Malai Kitchen; the Vietnamese/Thai-inspired restaurant has abrnew brewmaster at the helm: Matt Reynolds. Braden and Yasmin Wages, owners ofbrMalai Kitchen, hired the 2011 University of North Texas graduate to oversee thebrrestaurant’s house beer program.
Reynolds previouslybrworked as a mechanical and design engineer. In his free time, he immersedbrhimself in Dallas' burgeoning craft-beer scene and began honing the craft ofbrhome brewing. When presented with the opportunity to oversee Malai's program,brhe took the leap, turning his passion into a full-time job.
Utilizing his engineeringbrbackground and vast knowledge of craft beer, its ingredients and nuances, Reynoldsbrwill oversee the creation and production of Malai's portfolio of SoutheastbrAsian-inspired brews, including recipe testing and development, and researchingbrcurrent beer trends to ensure Malai stays on the forefront.
