Nine local restaurants have been recognized for their wine programs in this year’s Wine Spectator Awards.
Del Frisco’s Grille, Truluck’s, Calabrese, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille, Bacchus Kitchen + Bar, Winewood Grill and Stellini Trattoria were among the 1,673 restaurants that all received an Award of Excellence.
Two other local restaurants, Bob’s Steak & Chop House and Next Bistro, were among the 1,141 restaurants that received the Best of Award of Excellence.
The Wine Spectator Awards recognize restaurants' wine lists that offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers, according to its website. Restaurants can win the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence or the Grand Award.
Among the local restaurants recognized, this was the first year Bacchus Kitchen + Bar and Calabrese won a Wine Spectator award.
