Southlake’s Town Square is getting a new coffee destination — and it’s taking over one of the district’s most visible storefronts.
Ascension Coffee, the Dallas-born specialty coffee company known for its chef-driven menus and thoughtful approach to sourcing and roasting, has announced plans to open its first Southlake café in Spring 2026. The café will move into the former Cornery Barkery space at 100 State Street, squarely in the heart of Town Square.
“We’ve always believed that great cafés strengthen the communities around them,” said Jessica Keenan, president of Ascension Coffee. “Our goal in Southlake is to bring a thoughtful coffee experience that complements the energy of Town Square and offers neighbors another place to gather and connect.”
The Southlake location will feature Ascension’s full specialty coffee program, including a complete espresso bar, rotating seasonal coffee flights, and a slow bar highlighting single-origin coffees. All beans are roasted in small batches at Ascension’s Dallas roastery and are rooted in long-term, ethically focused producer relationships.
Alongside coffee, guests can expect an elevated all-day menu with breakfast favorites, fresh pastries, and globally inspired dishes designed to pair seamlessly with Ascension’s offerings.
Designed as a welcoming neighborhood café, the space is set to become a natural gathering place for locals. Hours and additional details will be announced closer to opening.
