After serving fresh soups, salads and sandwiches to the Trophy Club community for four years, Bread Winners Café will close permanently and not reopen its doors.
Bread Winners was first opened in November 2016 by Old Town Development owners Chris Gordon and Justin Springfield, according to David Pettit Economic Development. Serving a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees, Bread Winners specialized in its brunch delights, including its fried chicken with jalapeno bacon cheddar waffles and the Croque Madame with grilled sourdough bread, ham, swiss cheese, jalapeno cream gravy and a sunny side egg.
The Trophy Club bakery and bistro closed in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Former Place 1 town councilmember and mayoral candidate Alicia Fleury confirmed on her Faceook page that the restaurant would not reopen in late April.
