Flora House
Fort Worth Botanic Garden is getting a major culinary upgrade this fall, as Westland Hospitality steps in to open a new restaurant designed to match the beauty and pace of one of North Texas’ most visited green spaces.
The new concept, Flora House, will replace the longtime Rock Springs Cafe inside the garden’s 91-year-old building, bringing a refreshed dining experience centered on seasonal menus, elevated presentation, and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.
Led by chef Juan Rodriguez — known for Magdalena’s Catering and recognized for his creative culinary approach — Flora House will offer breakfast and lunch service with dishes built around fresh, seasonal ingredients. The menu will highlight herbs and produce inspired by, and in some cases sourced from, garden environments, creating a dining experience that mirrors the ever-changing setting just outside its windows.
Guests can expect an atmosphere designed for lingering, whether it’s a morning stop before exploring the gardens or a relaxed lunch surrounded by greenery. In addition to the restaurant, Westland will also serve as the Fort Worth Botanic Garden’s official catering partner for weddings, galas, and private events. A more intimate option, the Secret Garden Supper Club, will offer prix-fixe dinners paired with chef-led presentations for a limited, immersive experience.
Rock Springs Cafe will close June 30 to allow renovations to begin, with Flora House expected to open later this fall.
