Maman, the New York-based French bakery and café that has been expanding across North Texas, is planning its first Southlake location at Park Village, taking over a 2,571-square-foot space at 1161 E. Southlake Blvd.
Public filings indicate construction is expected to begin Oct. 7, with completion targeted for late January 2027.
For the uninitiated, Maman is known almost as much for its interiors as its menu. Think blue-and-white toile, vintage furnishings, rustic wood and the sort of French provincial charm that makes lingering over coffee feel practically mandatory.
Then there’s the food.
The café serves all-day brunch, pastries, sandwiches and specialty coffee, but its Nutty Chocolate Chip Cookie has developed a following of its own after earning a spot on Oprah’s Favorite Things. Other locations have also become known for dishes such as avocado tartines, tea cakes and chicken salad sandwiches, along with market-specific specials.
Maman made its Texas debut in Dallas in late 2025 and has been quickly adding locations across the area. Southlake will mark the brand’s first move into Tarrant County.
And if the signature blue toile, brunch, and cookies weren’t enough to get Southlake’s attention, there’s another decidedly European touch: Maman locations are known for encouraging guests to put away the laptops and actually enjoy the café.
Opening is currently anticipated in early 2027.
