Southlake saw many restaurants come and go this past year. Thankfully, many more are coming than leaving next year. As 2021 wraps up and the new year gets underway, here are just a few of the new restaurant openings to look forward to in 2022.
A new restaurant is opening in the Shops of Southlake next spring. Moving into the space formerly occupied by Herencia Texican Cuisine, Cork & Pig is a concept that delivers delicious wood-fired meats, gourmet salads and plenty of mouth-watering entrees. Complementing its food selection is a wide array of wines, craft beers and specialty cocktails.
Another restaurant moving into the Shops of Southlake in 2022 is Mesero, a concept that goes beyond Tex-Mex with hamburgers, chicken sandwiches and seared tuna alongside traditional dishes like enchiladas, queso and tacos. Moving into the space formerly occupied by Howard Wang’s, Mesero is sure to satisfy diners that walk through its doors.
Smoothie aficionados rejoice! In 2022, Tropical Smoothie Cafe is coming to town, bringing with it an expansive and delicious menu. With fruit and vegetable smoothies featuring ingredients like blueberries, strawberries, spinach and kale, and food items like flatbreads, sandwiches and wraps, every trip to Tropical Smoothie Cafe in the new year will be a delicious one.
In 2022, Vinay Calyampoondi, the franchisee of Southlake’s Cold Stone Creamery, is bringing a new franchise to Southlake: Magic Cup Cake. Serving up delicious teas, coffee and boba made with high-quality ingredients, Magic Cup Cafe will be a welcome addition to Southlake’s restaurant scene when it opens.
A bit farther from Southlake but more than worth the drive, Anderson Distillery & Grill will be opening in Roanoke in 2022. A distillery making rum, vodka, gin and whiskey, the concept will also serve dishes like sliders, salads and loaded baked potatoes. From attending tastings to enjoying a date night, Anderson Distillery & Grill is one to watch for in 2022.
