Internet-famous restauranteur Nusret "Salt Bae" Gökçe announced that his Dallas restaurant Nusr-Et Steakhouse will close for good.
It was initially announced that the restaurant, formerly located at 1900 Pearl Street in Downtown, would only be closed temporarily after Gökçe himself said a closure was needed due to a "maintenance issue."
Per reports, a new Nusr-Et will open in Mexico City later this year.
Gökçe’s Nusr-Et brand was awarded The Five Star Diamond Award in 2014 from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences. This was the first time a restaurant in Turkey was recognized internationally for such a high level of quality.
Gökçe has nearly 50 million Instagram followers, and his restaurants in Miami, New York, Beverly Hills and Europe have regularly attracted celebrities.
