A new healthy restaurant has come to town. Pink Beet Cafe & Juice Bar opened at 2310 W. Southlake Blvd., Suite 100, in mid-March, providing new nutritious options to area diners. Owner Sidra Fatima says after reviewing Southlake's food scene, she felt called to provide quality dishes that catered to people with health-conscious diets as well as those with dietary limitations.
"A lot of people in Southlake and Keller are wanting to eat healthy food and are looking for more healthy options," Sidra says.
Pink Beet Cafe offers a variety of juices, smoothies, acai bowls, sandwiches, salads and grain bowls as well as snacks, breakfast options, beverages and a kids menu. Sidra says the Mediterranean Rice Bowl, chicken over a bed of brown rice, mixed greens, cucumber, tomatoes, red onions, chickpeas, olives and topped with hummus, feta cheese and Tzatziki, is a current fan favorite.
While the cafe opened with a full menu, Sidra says Pink Beet Cafe will add in seasonal dishes as new ingredients come into season.
Despite opening during the COVID-19 pandemic, Sidra says she and her husband have been able to grow and learn how to provide for their customers. Now she invites locals to try out their dishes and offer suggestions for how to continue to expand.
"We are getting to know our customers," Sidra says. "I think it's coming along really well."
