The days of watching a horde of flat screens playing multiple games in every direction are about to meet their match. Cosm wants you to try “Shared Reality” in hopes you’ll forget how you used to watch the big game at your favorite sports bar.
Cosm is a revolutionary new entertainment company blending immersive technology, larger-than-life LED screens and killer bar food and drinks to change the way you enjoy live sports, arts and entertainment. Think— The Sphere in Las Vegas meets an AT&T Stadium VIP suite.
Having already enjoyed success with its first location in Los Angeles, Cosm opens its second venue to the public on August 31 at Grandscape in The Colony. This state-of-the-art venue spans 65,000 square feet and features an 87-foot-diameter LED screen powered by cutting-edge production software to form the foundation of its "Shared Reality" concept.
Luckily, it is all coming together just in time for football season, where fans can perch at any one of Cosm’s three main viewing areas: the Dome, Hall, or Deck. Together, they combine to create an experience that rivals being at the event itself.
The Dome is the 9,600 square-foot hub with views of the largest LED screen this side of Jerry World, while the Hall is a two-story space with a mix of tables and booths with wall-to-wall LED displays. The Deck is an outdoor terrace where fans can enjoy views of it all and outdoor firepits, too.
Even though it's not yet open to the public, you can already buy tickets to watch Texas A&M take on Notre Dame in “Shared Reality” on Saturday, August 31. Reserved stadium-style seating in high-top chairs, double seats or larger party booths across the Dome starts at $77 per person and goes up to $126.50 per person for posh “Club Level” seating, which is already starting to sell out. It’s all a small price to pay to experience a game in such vivid detail.
Those wanting to dip their toe into the fully immersive experience may opt for a Cosm $39 Access Pass, which allows for general admission, first-come seating and standing-room-only areas. The $22 Hall Club Pass grants access to the full-service bar and other limited standing and seating options, excluding the Dome.
The entertainment at Cosm may start with football fans, but the venue promises a diverse range of programming to cater to all audiences. In addition to hosting marquee college football games, the US Open and Premier League soccer matches, Cosm will also showcase live performances and immersive art exhibitions, including Ricardo Romaneiro’s “Liquidverse” and “O” by Cirque du Soleil.
