In a world of DoorDash dinners and drive-through meals, À Table is out to revive the lost art of gathering around the table - especially for busy families wanting to keep meals fresh and healthy.
Founded in 2018 by Josephine Giesen, the Dallas-based chef-led meal delivery service has become a favorite among North Texas households who crave fresh, health-centered, beautifully made meals without the pretense.
For Giesen, who grew up in Lebanon surrounded by gardens and nightly family feasts, dinner was more than a meal. It was a daily moment of togetherness, when the family would gather around the table to nourish their bodies with healthy, lovingly prepared meals.
“My mother would call out, ‘Les enfants, à table!’ every evening,” she recalls. “It was the most important time of the day.” That phrase, “kids, come to the table!” became the heartbeat of her company, created to bring that sense of connection back to busy modern homes.
Working alongside chef Jenny Hajduk, former executive chef at Neiman Marcus, Giesen developed a menu that’s as comforting as it is clean. Available as individual portions or family-sized meals, the dishes blend familiarity with a fresher, more thoughtful approach. Think chicken pot pie made with free-range poultry or meatloaf reimagined with grass-fed beef and avocado or olive oil instead of seed oils.
À Table also offers a lineup of à la carte comforts, like healthier panko-crusted chicken nuggets that even the pickiest eaters will beg for, not to mention seasonal vegetable sides that feel far from obligatory. And for those with a sweet tooth? The house-made Pop-Tarts, buttery, jammy and unapologetically nostalgic, are a must-try.
“Everything we make is food you’d serve to people you love,” Giesen says. “It’s not about trends, it’s about care.”
Today, À Table’s mission remains simple: to nourish not just bodies, but homes and relationships. In an age of constant motion, Giesen’s vision is a reminder that some of life’s best moments still happen around the dinner table.
