The beloved former principal of Carroll Senior High School officially has a new job.
Ryan Wilson has been appointed as the new principal of Boswell High School in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District (EMS ISD). The district officially announced his hiring this week, marking a significant leadership transition for the Fort Worth-based campus.
Wilson was widely admired for his servant leadership and deep commitment to Carroll ISD students and staff. His departure from Carroll ISD was met with heartfelt tributes, including a standing ovation at graduation and a community-led GoFundMe campaign to express gratitude for his 23 years of service.
In a letter to Carroll staff, Wilson shared his excitement about joining EMS ISD, writing, “Thank you for the tremendous support you’ve offered me and my family during these last few weird and wild months.”
Another district principal, Christina Benhoff, was also named principal of Keller ISD's Timber Creek High School at the May 15 KISD board meeting. She held the same position at Carroll High School since 2022 but, as part of a slew of district personnel moves earlier this month, her position was not renewed.
