For families in need thisbrholiday season, the GRACE Christmas Cottage is a shining star. The programbrprovides new, unwrapped gifts to families facing financial hardship due tobrlimited income or recent emergency.
All are invited to attendbrthe Christmas Cottage Open House on November 30 at 815 S. Main Street inbrGrapevine. The event kicks off at 4 p.m. with cookies and punch for kids, andbrthe evening continues at 5:30 p.m. with wine, light bites and special guests.
At the Christmas Cottage, breach qualified family is given a hypothetical “budget” that allows the parentsbrto “purchase” donated toys, home goods and appliances in a private, store-likebrsetting. This unique approach allows families to budget their resources andbrselect unique presents while preserving the family's dignity. Over 2,700brindividuals and families are served each holiday season.
New, unwrapped gifts willbrbe accepted all evening. Gifts can be dropped off at Donation Station, 112 N.brScribner Street or GRACE Main, 610 Shady Brook Drive, both in Grapevine. ThebrChristmas Cottage Program will be open from December 8-22.
