The Southlake Women’s Club continued its long-standing commitment to local schools on Thursday, January 15, presenting $49,000 in grant funding to principals from participating Carroll ISD campuses during the Club’s monthly luncheon at the The Westin Southlake.
The grants were made possible through the 2025–26 School Supply Sale, one of the Club’s signature community initiatives and a program that has supported Carroll ISD students and schools for more than three decades.
Now in its 37th year, the School Supply Sale is administered entirely by the Southlake Women’s Club and runs annually from late spring through the summer. The program returns 100 percent of proceeds directly to Carroll ISD campuses, creating a cycle of support that benefits students, teachers and families district-wide.
Families who participate purchase grade-level school supply packs that are drop-shipped directly to students’ homes, eliminating back-to-school errands while also generating vital grant funding for individual campuses.
“This program reflects the heart of our Club and the strength of our community,” said Jessica Smith, president of the Southlake Women’s Club. “By purchasing school supplies through this sale, families are directly supporting Carroll ISD schools, reducing stress during the busy back-to-school season, and helping ensure that every student has the tools they need to succeed.”
Campus leaders also shared how the grant funding will be used to enhance student learning in practical and engaging ways.
“At Dawson Middle School, this grant will help us expand hands-on learning opportunities within our Career and Technical Education pathways,” said Nikki Leonard, principal of Dawson Middle School. “Funding items like sewing machines and culinary equipment allows students to build real-world skills and explore future career possibilities in ways they’re genuinely excited about.”
In addition to campus grants, the Southlake Women’s Club donates school supply packs each year to needs-based recipients within Carroll ISD, reinforcing the Club’s broader mission of supporting women, children and families across Northeast Tarrant County.
