Grapevine is preparing to toast four decades of wine, tradition and community as the 40th annual GrapeFest returns to Historic Main Street September 17–20.
What began in 1987 as a one-day celebration featuring six Texas wineries has grown into the largest wine festival in the Southwest, welcoming approximately 250,000 visitors each year. Along the way, GrapeFest helped support the restoration of Historic Main Street while giving Texas winemakers a prominent place to pour, compete and connect with new audiences.
This year’s theme, “Connecting Wine Traditions, One Glass at a Time,” celebrates both the festival’s local roots and its international reach. Guests can sample Texas vintages at the People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic, explore wines from Grapevine’s Sister Cities and revisit the historic Judgement of Paris through a special tasting of French and Napa Valley wines.
Beyond the pours, the four-day celebration will feature live music, festival food, artisan vendors, the fan-favorite GrapeStomp, Champagne Terrace, carnival rides and family-friendly activities.
After 40 years, GrapeFest remains more than a wine festival. It is a celebration of the people, places and shared traditions that continue to bring Grapevine together — one glass at a time.
