A stack of books about Harry Potter by writer JK Rowling. Collection book. Ukraine, Kyiv - January 26, 2024
This Christmas, you will have the perfect reason to break out the Gryffindor gear and put those maroon-and-gold striped scarves to good use. Gaylord Texan’s ICE! is going full Harry Potter, bringing Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, and more fan-favorite magic to life in 2 million pounds of ice.
The Grapevine resort announced that its signature holiday attraction will return Nov. 13, 2026, through Jan. 3, 2027, with scenes from the beloved series carved into frozen perfection. The walk-through experience will feature colorful tunnels, arches, larger-than-life sculptures, photo ops, and two-story ice slides, all kept at a frosty 9 degrees. Which sounds kind of dreamy on this 100F day.
Guests can expect to journey through wintry, Wizarding World-inspired scenes, from Hogsmeade and the Hogwarts Express to the Great Hall and Hogwarts-inspired castle details. Expect plenty of your favorite characters, including Harry, Ron, and Hermione, reimagined in hand-carved ice.
The attraction will include 10 iconic scenes from the series, along with frozen details like floating candles, Chocolate Frogs, castle spires, and family-friendly photo moments throughout the self-guided experience. The icy playground will also feature two-story slides and a smaller child-sized slide for younger guests.
For families looking to turn the outing into a holiday getaway, Gaylord Texan will also offer overnight ICE! packages during the season.
ICE! featuring Harry Potter runs Nov. 13, 2026, through Jan. 3, 2027, at Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine. General admission starts at $33.32.
