
St. Paddy's Day is almost upon us, and the celebrations are already ramping up. From go-for-the-green runs to concerts to model train expos, this weekend is full fun for the whole family. Here are some you won't want to miss:
TRAIN-A-PALOOZA MODEL TRAIN SHOW

GRAPEVINE CONVENTION CENTER | Train-A-Palooza is back for its 11th year, wowing train enthusiasts of all ages. With 14,000 sq.ft. of engaging exhibits, sales tables and working train models, this event, free-for-kids under 10, will captivate the entire family. Highlights include TCA North Texas Chapter’s Thomas the Train working train model (O gauge layout) and Choo Choo Express train rides, available in the parking lot.

HOUSE OF BLUES DALLAS | Foster the People has been delighting audiences with its cool alt sound since its Grammy-nominated debut album, “Torches,” dominated the airwaves in 2011. Their list of hit songs includes the chart-topping rock anthem “Pumped Up Kicks” and the groovy fan-favorite “Helena Beat.” Their third album, “Sacred Hearts Club,” will drop on July 21 from Columbia Records.

TOYOTA MUSIC FACTORY | Grab your race shoes and show off your green in support of the Irving Schools Foundation. This family-friendly fitness event is back for its 5th year with more festive Irish fun than ever. Registrants can choose between a 5-mile or 5K distance. All participants will receive a branded performance shirt, race bib and timing chip, finishers medal, food and beverage coupon, and the opportunity to dance a little jig at the post-race party featuring live music and entertainment.

KELLER NATATORIUM | The 15th annual St. Patrick’s Day Sprint Tri invites participants to Go for Green in this festive, USAT-sanctioned event. Competitors will enjoy a 300-meter pool swim, 13.5-mile 3-loop, bike course and 3.1-mile trail run. All racers receive a finisher’s medal and branded half-zip tech shirt, and the top three finishers in each age group receive individual awards.
