It’s almost here: Just one more week until Christmas. Whether you’re filling your stockings or getting the house ready for guests coming over, you’re just putting the finishing touches on everything until December 25 arrives. If you’re looking for some fun holiday recreation after exhausting yourself with weeks of planning and Christmas shopping, here are five fun Christmas jamborees you can bring your family to this weekend.
There are a handful of ways to make reading more exciting, and one of them is with a flurry of dogs cuddling you while you turn the page. Therapy dogs will be out at the Grapevine Public Library from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at 1201 Municipal Way, and they’ll be wagging their tails and dressed up in festive Christmas outfits while you read them their favorite Christmas story. Come and delight these pups before Santa fills their stockings with dog treats on Christmas Eve.
Holiday Scavenger Hunt At The Gaylord
There’s only one way to make a scavenger hunt more fun, and that’s by holding it at the Gaylord Texan Hotel in Grapevine. From 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday at 1501 Gaylord Trail, you can participate in the Merry Snoopy Scavengers Hunt for $12 and find everything related to Charlie Brown’s lovable pet beagle. Parents can add on other fun activities like ICE!, snow tubing and snow throw, but the holiday carousel is free regardless!
If you’re looking for pretty neon lights and delightful displays, the Araujo family has got you covered at their Christmas Lights Show in Grapevine. From 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday at their private residence in 4341 Woodglen Dr., the Araujos will put on an exquisite show that will light up the neighborhood and your heart. Come on out and snap a snow globe picture, play with bubbles and snow and eat some delicious popcorn as you sit back and enjoy the show.
This is your last chance to send your letter to Lego Santa before he takes off with his minifigure reindeer on Christmas Eve. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, you and your family will get a chance to build your own Lego presents, explore the newly decorated winter wonderland miniland and even meet Lego Santa and take pictures with him at Legoland's Holiday Bricktacular. You'll build great times and memories at this brick-tastic holiday event.
Christmas Classic Movies At The Palace Theater
