Try a fun new exercise, take a night off or create your own papercrafts. Whether you’re wanting to work out or unwind, Grapevine and Colleyville have several events going on this weekend. If you and your family are looking for something fun to do, here are a few events to consider going to this weekend.
Grapevine Rubber Stamp and Paper Arts Festival
If you want to get your creative juices flowing, come to the Grapevine Rubber Stamp and Paper Arts Festival this weekend and get your craftiness on! The festival lasts from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at 1209 S. Main St., and you’ll get the chance to shop, scrapbook, make stamps, watch fun demonstrations and so much more. Tickets are $8 per day and $12 for two-day admission at the door. Come and enjoy everything stamps and papercrafts have to offer!
It’s not fun running in the blistering Texas heat. That’s why Lake Grapevine Runners and Walkers’ Bold in the Cold event gives a nice chilly twist to the typical 5K. Come to Bold in the Cold at 8 a.m. on Saturday at Trawick Pavilion in Grapevine and have fun alongside your family in a brisk morning run. There will be award winners for ages 8 and under, 9-11, 12-15 and 16-19, so come on out and see who’s the fastest at Bold in the Cold.
Many people love to dance — and thankfully, dancing is a fun alternative to exercising. If you’re looking to add some pizazz to your routine, come to Pizzazz Moves at Resort at 925 Main Street Apartments in Grapevine this weekend. You’ll have a blast at this free event where you’ll learn how to move your body and keep to the beat with fun, fast-paced music. Pizazz Moves is at 10 a.m. on Saturday at 925 S. Main St. Come on out and get your groove on!
Life Time Fitness Parent’s Night Out
If there are any parents looking for a break after all of the holiday hysteria, drop your kid off at Life Time Fitness while you enjoy a parent’s night out for yourselves! From 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday at 1221 Church St. in Colleyville, your child will get to create snowflake crafts, play winter-themed games and enjoy fun S.T.E.A.M. activities while they munch on some delicious pizza. Drop your kid off and give yourself the break you deserve.
If you’re looking for a fun and fantastic frenzy where you get to do nothing but play and laugh in a mesmerizing playground, come to Bear Valley Kids’ One Big Day event at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday at 7900 Precinct Line Rd. in Colleyville. Bring three cans of food per child and if 60 children and 120 cans of food are accounted for, you’ll get to see someone get pied in the face! Come out and enjoy One Big Day with the Bear Valley Kids.
