Whether you opt into a movie night or drive to a Fourth of July event, there are several fun family-friendly events you shouldn't miss out on this weekend.
Head over to NRH20 Family Water Park this Friday to watch "Tom & Jerry!" After spending the day at the water park enjoying the rides and attractions, wind down by lounging in the wave pool and enjoying a family-friendly movie involving your favorite cartoon cat and mouse. Tickets run from $20 to $25, and kids 2 or younger get in for free.
This Saturday at the Coppell Arts Center, kids ages 3-12 can stop by and create their own crafts to take home with them. Anytime between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., families can stop by with their children and get a do-it-yourself craft kit they can use at socially-distanced art stations. This is a free event and parents must accompany their children at all times.
After last year’s event was modified thanks to COVID-19, Southlake's Stars and Stripes festival is back and better than ever. With the patriotic tradition going on for over 20 years now, Southlake residents can head to town square to enjoy live music, activities and of course, fireworks. Food and drinks from a variety of vendors will also be available for attendees to purchase.
Independence Day Splashtacular
After seeing the fireworks light up the sky in Southlake on July 3, spend Independence Day at the water park. The Flower Mound Community Activity Center Water Park is hosting an Independence Day Splashtacular. Activities and games will be spread out throughout the day for attendees of all ages and abilities. Once you purchase admission to the park, all activities and games are free.
For those looking to continue the Fourth of July fun, head over to Independence Park in Trophy Club for a full day of events like the Patriot 5K & Fun Run and the Parade of Patriots. After spending the day enjoying all these activities, a fireworks celebration planned from 6 to 10 p.m. will cap off the night in style.
