
October is finally here, and with it comes plenty of spooky, frightful and fun Halloween events. Whether you enjoy a classic cartoon every week or spring for a Trick ‘R Treat train ride, here are a few Halloween events that should be on your calendar this month.
Through Nov. 6, families can flock to Riders Field in Frisco for a fantastically spooky time. Fright ‘N Lights’ attractions include hundreds of illuminated carved pumpkins, a haunted hay maze, a pumpkin patch and Frank N. Shine’s freaky foam pit. Children 2 and under get in free, and ticket prices start at $15 for kids 3-11 and $20 for adults.
Trick-Or-Treat Cartoons & Crafts
It's time to enjoy some Halloween-themed cartoons and crafts at Grapevine! At 10 a.m. on Oct. 5, 12, 19 and 26, the Palace Arts Center in Grapevine will show two animated Halloween classics alongside a craft activity. Tickets for kids are $6, which includes their craft, small popcorn and a drink, while adult tickets are $3 and include a drink.
On Friday, Oct. 16, it's time to sit back, relax and enjoy "Hocus Pocus!" The Palace Arts Center in Grapevine will be showing this classic Halloween film at 4 and 7 p.m., with costume contests held 30 minutes before each show. Tickets start at $6. Attendees who bring in a same-day receipt from any Grapevine-area restaurant will receive free popcorn.
On Oct. 30, it's time to don your Halloween costume, grab your candy bucket and head over to the Grapevine Vintage Railroad! Trick 'R Treat Trains will leave the station at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., each featuring a prepackaged bag of treats, a Halloween storybook reading and a fun interactive game. Tickets are $16 per person.
Head over to Klyde Warren Park on Oct. 30 to enjoy a viewing of "Hotel Transylvania," presented by Boardwalk Auto Group owner Scott K. Ginsburg. Attendees can six back, relax, enjoy a food truck picnic and watch the animated movie on the park lawn. You're not going to want to miss out on this free family-friendly event!
