Be sure to check out this year's Main Street Art Fest in Downtown Fort Worth.
Spring has finally sprung, and that means it’s time to trade the suburban sprawl for some serious garden therapy. Whether you’re looking to hike through a sea of blue, check out an outdoor concert or sip tea under cherry blossoms, there is a festival nearby to alleviate your cabin fever.
Grab your camera and your walking shoes — here are the best outdoor spring festivals to add to your calendar this year.
DALLAS BLOOMS
This is the heavyweight champion of floral fests. We’re talking over 500,000 spring-blooming bulbs. This year’s theme features a massive orchid exhibition at the historic DeGolyer House, undoubtedly the ultimate "Instagrammable" spring experience. But move fast — it disappears after the second weekend of April.
Dallas Arboretum | Through April 12
BUTTERFLIES IN THE GARDEN
Step into the Rainforest Conservatory and find yourself surrounded by thousands of “living jewels.” This biennial event brings in exotic butterflies from around the world — including the striking Blue Morpho — fluttering through a lush, tropical setting. It’s a kaleidoscope of color that’s just as educational as it is breathtaking.
Fort Worth Botanic Garden | Through April 30
MAIN ST. ARTS FESTIVAL
While fine art is the main draw, the floral design quietly steals the show. Downtown Fort Worth transforms with massive, towering installations that turn city streets into a vibrant, open-air gallery — part urban jungle, part cultural showcase.

ENNIS BLUEBONNET TRAILS & FESTIVAL
As the Official Bluebonnet City of Texas, nearby Ennis delivers peak spring color with 40 miles of mapped driving trails designed to help you find the perfect patch. It’s the easiest way to experience those iconic Texas blooms — no guesswork required.

COPPELL EARTHFEST
A hyper-local favorite that blends environmental awareness with springtime fun. Expect plant giveaways, organic gardening tips and plenty of family-friendly activities focused on keeping North Texas green and growing.
Andrew Brown Park East | April 18
ARTSCAPE AT THE DALLAS ARBORETUM
Just as Dallas Blooms winds down, Artscape keeps the beauty going. More than 100 juried artists set up throughout the Jonsson Color Garden, offering paintings and sculpture surrounded by late-season blooms and lush greenery.
Dallas Arboretum | April 25–26
SPRING JAPANESE FESTIVAL
A weekend escape into tranquility at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. Between traditional Taiko drumming and martial arts demonstrations, blooming azaleas and cherry blossoms create a setting that feels worlds away from the Metroplex.
Fort Worth Botanic Garden | April 25–26
HERB DAY
Celebrated each May, this festival is perfect for those who prefer their plants practical. Focused on the healing power of herbs, it features educational booths, plant sales and hands-on workshops for starting your own kitchen garden.
Fort Worth Botanic Garden | May 2
BLOOMS & BEATS
Part concert, part garden party, this laid-back evening pairs live music with spring scenery. Bring a blanket, grab a bite from local food trucks and settle in for a relaxed night under the stars with beer, wine and good company.
Fort Worth Botanic Garden | May 8, 6:30–8:30 PM
SCARBOROUGH RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL
Step into the 16th century, where English-style gardens are meticulously maintained and blooms feel fit for royalty. Just about an hour’s drive from Southlake, this immersive, storybook setting feels straight out of a fairy tale — emphasis on the faire.
Waxahachie | Weekends through May 25
WILDFLOWER! ARTS & MUSIC FESTIVAL
Come for the blooms, stay for the music. Richardson pairs native wildflowers with major musical acts, creating a lively mix of concerts, art installations and curated shopping that celebrates Texas’s natural beauty.
