Whether you attended Carroll Theatre's production of “Footloose” or went to see “Top Gun: Maverick,” you have heard his music before. Kenny Loggins is among the most influential icons of all time, with over 25 million albums sold worldwide. After nearly six remarkable decades, the multiple Grammy Award-winning artist will ride into the danger zone one final time at Fort Worth's Dickies Arena on April 28 as a part of his farewell tour.
Loggins first emerged on the scene in the mid-1970s as half of the hit duo Loggins & Messina. By 1977, he launched a solo career and worked with greats such as Stevie Nicks, Steven Perry and Michael McDonald. Although Loggins is a legendary guitar and piano player, his songwriting earned him a lasting influence on the music industry. Teaming with McDonald on the song “This Is It” earned him a Grammy in 1980, and since then, he has racked up a string of gold and platinum albums and singles.
Loggins also gained notoriety for his many successful movie soundtracks, starting with “I’m Alright” from the movie “Caddyshack.” Other hit soundtrack singles include the title track to the movie "Footloose" and “Danger Zone” from “Top Gun,” which helped him earn the nickname “The Soundtrack King.” He solidified his moniker by winning Song of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance at the Grammys twice for his hits "What A Fool Believes" and "This Is It." Most recently, his song "Danger Zone" made a return in Paramount's "Top Gun: Maverick," which at its peak had an average of over 1 million streams a day.
Get ready to join the high-octane star for one last dance session as he features songs from a career that has won the hearts of millions of fans worldwide.
