The holidays aren’t canceled just because it’s 2020. Even though COVID-19 continues to be a health concern for families, that doesn’t mean events have to be put on hold, especially when you’ve been cooped up indoors for the past several months. So grab your mask and your Santa hats — these are a few fun events you can look forward to this month.
Dec. 3 | Downtown Grapevine
While Grapevine’s annual Parade of Lights won’t be in its usual format this year, its dazzling floats will still be on display for your admiration. At 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, this free event will keep its parade stationary in a reverse-style experience that residents can drive through. Come to Main Street, and see the amazing lights and decorations from your vehicle.
Dec. 4-6 | Meadowmere Park
Want to experience the spectacle of “The Nutcracker” this holiday season? The North Central Ballet is hosting a socially distant outdoor performance of Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s classic Christmas tale all weekend long at Meadowmere Park in Grapevine. Come, bring your lawn chair and experience the epic adventure of the Nutcracker, Clara, the Mouse King and the sugar plum fairies. Tickets are $20 each.
Dec. 5 | Heritage Community Clubhouse
Even though it’s rare to see snow in Texas, Fort Worth will have pounds of it this Saturday. From noon to 4 p.m., the Heritage Life HOA is hosting a free Holiday Blizzard Bash at Heritage Community Clubhouse. Come and meet Santa, interact with live reindeer, play with Frosty the Snowman and slide down an exciting snow slide. You’ll have a blast at this blizzard bash.
Dec. 12 | Palace Theater
In addition to parades and light shows, Grapevine’s 33rd annual Opry Christmas show is on track to debut yet another strong performance to the community. For $27, you can join in on the show at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 12 at the Palace Theater and enjoy an incredible theatrical experience filled with yuletide carols and seasonal joy. The Emmy Award-winning "America's Got Talent" semifinalists the Texas Tenors are making their return to Texas this winter. From December 15 to 18, the Texas Tenors will be at the Palace Arts Center singing some of their favorite songs, whether it’s classic carols like “O Holy Night” and “Joy To The World” or original singles such as “Rise” and “You’ve Got That Lovin’ Feelin’.” You’ll love listening to the Texas Tenors’ tribute deep in the heart of Christmas.

If you want a tour through the bright and colorful display of downtown Arlington, look no further than the Interlochen Christmas Lights. This vibrant show has been a holiday tradition for over 40 years and provides joy and wonder through miles of decorated houses and yards. Disney On Ice Presents Dream Big

Believing is just the beginning at Disney On Ice’s Dream Big show. Adapting stories from memorable Disney epics including “Coco,” “Moana” and “Frozen,” watch as some of your favorite Disney heroes take to the rink to ice skate through their amazing adventures.
